four-day weekend: day one

Thanks to some rearranging of the schedules at work, I am lucky enough to enjoy a four-day weekend. It actually helps my transportation budget for the week and means I can spend lots more time on writing for Bloodbound 2.

So far today, I haven’t typed a single word other than on Twitter and here on the blog.

My day started shortly after the last blog post, where I went to get rent money out of the bank and then find something to make for dinner tonight. I won’t bore you with the details, but the crux of it is that I was mugged. Although I don’t know if that implies success. Mine was not. I broke the guy’s nose. And kept my money.

I’ve spent most of the day trying to relax, perchance to nap, but I wrenched my arm (the one I held my food and groceries in) socking it to that guy in the face. Thus, it’s not been comfortable to rest with.

I did the bulk of my schoolwork this afternoon, now I’m hoping I can get in a mental state to where I can continue writing.
